A seashell glass wall sconce with a brass finial.
Beatrice is a hardwired wall light: an open glass shell that sits flat to the wall. The shade flares like a scallop, with a small brass ball at the base. Light fills the glass and washes the wall around it.

EXTERIOR DESIGN
An open scallop, colored glass, and a brass ball at the base.
The outline stays the same across colors. Color lives in the glass. The brass ball stays at the bottom on every shade. Close-up work on the rim and metal is shown later.
The glass flares from a round base into a wavy rim. The open face sits toward the room.
Amber, green, brown, or beige white fill the same shell. The metal stays brass.
The shell sits close to the wall. Light fills the glass and leaves a soft wash around the rim.
ROOMS AND GLOW
Beside a bed, over a sideboard, above a sofa, or in a study. Soft by day, warmer when lit.
Mount it where a compact wall light can sit above furniture: bedroom, dining room, living room, or study. By day the shell is a colored volume on the wall. Switched on, the glass holds a warm glow and washes the wall around it.

The close work is in the glass edge, the surface of the shade, and the brass ball that closes the base.
