DESIGNER CONCEPT

Two porcelain shades in the living room.

This is a hardwired porcelain pendant. The shade is white porcelain, held by a metal rod and collar. One E27 bulb sits inside. The bulb is not included. It comes as a wide 14 in drum or a small 5 in cylinder. In this living room both hang off, side by side, in daylight.

COLOR, SIZE, LIGHTS

White porcelain. Two sizes. One light.

The finish is the same on both: white porcelain and metal. The choice is the shade size. Each pendant has one E27 socket, 60 watts maximum. The bulb is not included.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

A wide drum, or a small glowing cylinder.

Both hang from the same metal fitting: a round canopy, a slim rod, and a short collar on the shade.

14 in drumA low, wide porcelain drum. The side stays white. Light leaves through the open bottom.

5 in shadeA smaller porcelain cylinder, 5 in across and 4 in high. When the bulb is on, the body glows.

ROOMS AND GLOW

Off by day. On at night in the same entry.

The entry is one room. By day the 14 in drum is off. At night the bulb is on, and warm light comes from the open bottom while the rest of the room stays dark. The kitchen and the round dining table use the 5 in shade. The study and the bedroom use the 14 in drum. Those rooms are daylight, off.
