Beatrice is a hardwired wall light: an open glass shell that sits flat to the wall. The shade flares like a scallop, with a small brass ball at the base. Light fills the glass and washes the wall around it.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

An open scallop, colored glass, and a brass ball at the base.

The outline stays the same across colors. Color lives in the glass. The brass ball stays at the bottom on every shade. Close-up work on the rim and metal is shown later.

Mount it where a compact wall light can sit above furniture: bedroom, dining room, living room, or study. By day the shell is a colored volume on the wall. Switched on, the glass holds a warm glow and washes the wall around it.
